Plot hole: Sawyer pulls the bullet out with his bare hands, we are led to believe, through the cut the bullet made. When you are shot, the flesh immediately seals up, meaning you would need a knife or something like that to get it out. Sawyer only had the gun, as he could not have hidden the knife AND the gun.

Continuity: At the start we see Desmond in the hatch. When the explosion goes off he gears up and runs over to a machine where he turns the music off. The shot of the shelf is a flipped shot.

Plot hole: Seeing as Jin dived in right after Sawyer, to save him, when Sawyer came up Jin should have been right next to him, or at least in view. However Sawyer hears Jin's voice as if he is miles away when he surfaces, and he is not visible at all.

Continuity: Just before Michael says "You're going to pull the bullet out with your bare hands?", Sawyer's hair is very wet and pulled back, as if it were in a pony tail. When the camera switches back to Sawyer saying "You got a better idea?" his hair is a lot drier and covering his face. In the next shot, it is pulled back again.

Continuity: While Jack holds the gun on Desmond, who is running away, the stains on Desmond's garb change, particularly the very large reddish stain on the right side of his chest that disappears in the wide shots.

Continuity: Hurley's lottery ticket changes from when it is first shown to when it is shown later.

Revealing: As several camera angles show, Sawyer's makeshift stretcher was made by drilling multiple holes in the upper frame struts, through which was threaded rope made from dried roots or vines. The cast who supposedly constructed it were not carrying power drills among their primitive implements.

Continuity: When Claire is holding Aaron talking to Locke, she says "I can't believe he is still sleeping" and they show him sleeping. She then asks Locke if he wants to hold him and then hands Aaron to Locke. His eyes are wide open. Then you see Locke obviously holding a doll in the next shot and they are talking about him still being asleep. Locke then hands Aaron to Charlie and the eyes are again wide open and they are still talking about him being asleep.

Continuity: In the scene where Sawyer collapses from his bullet wound, he collapses onto his knees and then twists so that his good arm is towards the ground. From there, he rolls to his back. Then the camera angle changes so we're looking at Michael and Jin running towards Sawyer from the front. Sawyer is now on his good arm's side.

Continuity: In the scene where Shannon and Sayid are next to Boone's grave, in one shot there is a necklace on the cross and in the other it disappears.

Revealing: When Goodwin and Ana Lucia sits down to have a break and Goodwin hands over some fruit to Ana, she says "Where do you think they got it? I mean they're not even wearing shoes", directing to the knife. If you watch in the background you can see a car driving.

Continuity: Ana-Lucia says that she never saw Nathan during the two hours the plane was in the air, which Cindy the flight-attendant agrees with, saying that she has a photographic memory for passengers. But the plane was actually in the air for eight hours before the crash, as revealed in the pilot, so, not only should Cindy remember him after that long, but they all should be able to tell the difference between two and eight hours.

Continuity: When Ana-Lucia gives mouth to mouth on the little girl, the girls left side of the face is partially covered in sand. When it cuts her face is full of sand.

Continuity: When Mr. Eko heads out to the water to pick up the dead bodies you see all the bodies floating face down. When it cuts there is a close up of a body that suddenly floats face up.

Continuity: In the scene where Sun surprisingly sees Michael running out from the jungle, Sun turns and faces Michael, who is on her right. In the close-up shot followed Sun is found facing to her left. It then changes back to normal in the next shot.

Continuity: When Sayid is carrying Shannon's body back to camp, the back of her shirt is almost without blood. Two minutes before, when Sayid picked Shannon up from the ground, her shirt was blood covered.

Visible crew/equipment: In the end of this episode when Kate and Sawyer have just left the hatch they see a black horse. In the first shot with the horse, on the far right of the screen you can see the trainer's hand with a black glove. HD widescreen only.

Continuity: In the film, the hair on Marvin Candle changes from the original film to the one that Mr. Eko found. It is much shorter on the recovered clip.

Continuity: When Jack and Ana-Lucia are talking on the rocks by the beach at the end of the episode, Ana-Lucia's hair is pulled back and is completely off her face. However, in two of her close-ups, there are two small forelocks loose in the wind near her temples, which are not present in any other shots during this scene.

Continuity: When Jack and Kate are discussing who should stay with Sawyer and who should go to Shannon's funeral, as the camera goes back and forth between the two the towel on Sawyer's forehead is there, then not, then back again through the whole scene.
