The actual glider used in the movie was a "Duo-Discus x" manufactured by Schempp-hirth and was the personal plane of millionaire Richard S. DuPont. The gliders sold new in 1999 (when the movie was made) for about $100,000. The DuPonts, besides being chemical giants, were pioneers in American gliding. See more...

Visible crew/equipment: When Thomas Crown exits the museum after having stolen the Monet, we see a couple of strange characters, probably crew members, standing on the ledge of the building just behind the cab he gets into. The man with the mask is the most interesting.
