The exterior scenes at Robert's residence were shot at the Paterno, an elegant apartment building known for its long curved facade and its elaborate arched 'porte-cochère' at the front entrance. The Paterno is located across from the Colosseum (now owned by Columbia U.), another curved Riverside apartment building (albeit smaller), both down the street from Barnard College and Columbia U.
