When the helicopter near the dish in Cuba crashes it pulls Famke away from Bond, as she is attached to the chopper by a rope. The tree breaks her movement and she dies. She should have been ripped to pieces or cut in half by the rope which after all had a helicopter attached to it. [She is killed by smashing against the tree at the same time the helicopter hits the ground. At the moment the helicopter crashes it stops pulling on the rope.]

Mistakes
When Bond is jumping from the dam in the opening sequence, you see him 'clip in' twice, once attaching the rope to his feet, and once attaching the rope to the dam. He is using screw-gate carabineers, large clips that have a small bevel gate on them that secure them shut. Yet Bond doesn't screw them shut - all it takes is a simple flick of the fingers and they're done. This means that they're not as safe as they should be, and could potentially open - particularly when doing something as stressful as diving off a dam. You would have thought that as Bond's parents 'had the luxury of dying in a climbing accident' as Trevelyan puts it, he would take more care over basic safety procedures when using ropes and climbing equipment. Trivia
The "dish" in "Cuba" isn't some prop designed for the film, nor is it in Cuba. It's actually the Arecibo Observatory, an antenna in Puerto Rico designed to look into space for radio waves and other signs of intelligent life. See more...

When Bond first meets with Wade, Bond says his name and Wade replies "Are you a gardener or something?" In reality, Ian Fleming based his character's name on a real life gardener whose name happened to be James Bond. [James Bond was the author of the book "Birds of the West Indies," which was a favorite book of Fleming's. He may have had an interest in gardening as well, however, it is the book for which he is more famous.]
The beginning sequence set in Arkhangelsk, Russia, shows towering snow-capped mountains surrounding the chemical weapons facility. The Arkhangelsk region consists entirely of flat tundra. [The scene at the dam identifies the location as the "Arkangel Chemical Weapons Facility - USSR." The name "Arkangel" does not necessarily mean it's located in Arkhangelsk. Washington Mutual Bank, for instance, is not headquartered in either Washington state or the US capital.]
When Trevelyan is trying to kiss Natalie in the armoured train, the driver of the train spots the tank on tracks and beeps the beeper. But Trevelyan leaves Natalie and starts moving towards the front several milliseconds *before* the siren starts beeping. [Several milliseconds? Are you kidding? You cannot see anything event which occurs in 'several milliseconds', even with freeze frame. This is not a film mistake.]
At one point, Bond and Natalia jump into the dried satellite basin and slide uncontrollably towards the centre to avoid gunfire from jungle soldiers. The friction encountered would have burned off their skin and clothes, leaving them for dead. The same happens when you slide along the road at high-speed, without leather, after coming off a motorbike. [The satellite basin had only just come out of the water, so it would still be wet. This reduces the friction and allows them to slide down the basin relatively unharmed.]
Trevelyan's plan is to rob vast sums of money from the banks of London, then use the Goldeneye satellite to trigger a massive financial meltdown. While this will indeed cover up the theft, such a catastrophic economic disaster will also, surely render his money worthless. [No. There would still be stock markets and major banks open in Japan, New York etc. Trevelyan's plan would be like a much larger version of the Wall Street crash, in such times money becomes more valuable, not worthless.]
M states that electromagnetic pulse effects of an atomic bomb exploding in high atmosphere was discovered after Hiroshima's bombing. It's not true. It was discovered after high altitude tests over Hawaii in 1953. [She never mentions how long after Hiroshima that EMP was discovered. She probably mentions Hiroshima because it was the first use of a nuclear bomb.]
If the second Goldeneye satellite blew up in space, surely it would've triggered the nuclear device within to blow up, causing the EMP surge anyway. [Surely not. The high explosives surrounding the fissionable material are precisely engineered to explode simultaneously and crush the material. Any nearby explosion would not be enought to cause the material to implode and start the chain reaction.]
At the end of the race with Xenia, the female evaluator tells James to "Stop this car at once." Seconds later, Bond uses the emergency brake to stop the car, but he uses his right hand. How is this possible if he is driving on the right side of the vehicle? [Not all cars have the emergency brake in between the seats. Some of them have it under the steering column close to the door which would require his right hand.]
Just before Bond jumps through the vent and knocks out the guy on the toilet, we have a bird's eve view of the toilet - and there's no toilet paper.. Furthermore, why did he bring his own paper when there's one hanging up? (perhaps the one hanging up was actually for toilet paper..) [That's not necessarily a mistake. I for one have been caught out by forgetting to check if there is toilet paper present. As for the paper, the one hanging up may be out of date, or one that he has already read.]
When Trevelyen falls off of the cradle he lands on the ground below. This is incorrect because he should have fallen into a short crack in the ground where the water got sucked into. [Not neccesarily. He is kicked off the cradle by Bond, and so falls with some sideways motion. Its enough for him to miss the crack by the time he falls all the way down.]
In the last fight scene, 006 eventually corners 007 and holds a gun to his face. However you can still hear a punch being thrown right before this shot, but after the punching stopped. [It's more likely the sound of something in the room falling over - remember, they knocked around quite a few things during their fight.]
The direction of the train hostage scene is all wrong. After the train crashes into the tank, 007 enters and beats Trevelyan to the gun on the ground, he then holds Trevelyan and Xenia at gunpoint. General Ourumov then enters the scene again, behind Bond, holding Natalya hostage himself, at gunpoint. As Bond and Alec Trevelyan negotiate the situation, Ourumov just stands patiently with a gun, all while Bond still has his back to him.. what is to negotiate? Ourumov can blow 007 away at any time and still James Bond pays him little to no attention, always keeping his gun focused on the unarmed pair 10+ feet away from him. [I think it can be assumed Bond knows full well what Ourumov is up to behind his back, considering how quickly he does turn and kill him when he gets round to it. Plus, Ourumov is waiting for a signal from Trevelyan (which is delivered by a quick flick of his head after he says "See you in hell, James"), so it can be assumed he's been ordered not to kill until then.]
Brosnan's contract to play James Bond specifies that while contracted as Bond he is not permitted to appear in any other film wearing a tuxedo. Although he then went on to wear one in the remake of the Thomas Crown Affair [Brosnan's contract states he can't wear a James Bond-like tuxedo (including the black tie). In the Thomas Crown Affair he was allowed to wear a tuxedo, without breaking the JB contract, as it included a white bowtie.]
At the beginning, Bond sets the bomb's timing device for six minutes. Read it backwards and you get 006 - as in Agent 006, Alex Trevelyan. [It actually gets set for 3 minutes. Earlier on in the movie Bond, James Bond says that he will set it for 6 minutes but only sets it for 3. In this scene Trevelan says "I'm setting the timer for 6 minutes, the same 6 minutes you gave me" (or something like that) meaning that he will set it for 3 minutes. The whole 006, 6 minutes thing is just a coincidence.]
At the beginning, before the main titles, Bond rides a motorcycle off a cliff after a light aircraft. He then falls after the plane and catches up with it. This is patently impossible as described hundreds of years ago by Galileo and demonstrated on the moon during the Apollo missions. All bodies, neglecting air resistance, fall at the same rate. If anything Bond and the plane should have got further apart as Bond has a greater air resistance to mass ratio, and the plane is still under power. [That only refers to being in a vacuum. If what you say is true a parachute wouldn't slow you down.]
When Bond and Natalya are together in the Russian jail cell after escaping from the helicopter, Bond seizes Natalya's wrist and says something about her watch being frozen at the time of the Severnaya blast. Given that we already know Natalya is smart, pragmatic and resourceful, and that the blast took place several days beforehand, why would she still be wearing a broken watch? [Natayla has just survived a blast which could of easily killed her, escaped the wreckage, and somehow made it to St. Petersburg searching for answers, and wanting revenge - a broken watch is the least of her worries.]
When bond and 006 are in the gas room of the facility, Colonel Orumov captures 006. As Orumov is counting down until he kills 006, Alec (006) can be seen saying 3, 2, then he gets shot. This is kinda hard to see though. [Alec has planned this all along, it is one big set-up. He might be counting along to prepare himself for acting like he's being shot, just like some actors do.]
When the dead admiral falls out of the closet on the boat the morning after Xenia kills him, and James Bond opens the closet door, as he's falling he has a straight face and eyes looking straight ahead, but after he lands and it shows his face, his eyes are looking upwards and he's grinning. [He always has a large grin on his face when he falls out.]
