In one scene, Ray is frying chicken. He proceeds to flour a couple of pieces and drop them in the pan containing hot grease. There is a piece already in the pan that is done, so Ray holds out the pan to his friend to take the piece of chicken. His friend reaches into the pan, removes the piece of chicken and immediately bites into it. Fried chicken that has just been removed from hot grease cannot be immediately eaten. It has to be removed and allowed to cool for a few minutes. The friend would have burned his fingers as soon as he reached into the pan and then would have burned his mouth as soon as he bit into the chicken. See more...

Entry What is the name of the song Ray is singing with the Raylette's when we first meet them. The one they finish in one take.
Entry On Scene 20 of the DVD, if you immediately pause it (just before the camera starts to pan up the outside of the hotel), you can see a shadow in the first window that looks like it's E.T. I can't find anywhere else online where this is mentioned. Is this my imagination? Or might this have been done intentionally? [I have looked at this about a dozen times, and I think it's just a shadow that resembles E.T. I can't imagine why it would have been done intentionally.]
Entry What was that tune that Ray was playing on the piano just after he offered his 3 backup singers $30 a week? [Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven.]
