When the six girls arrive for the party, in the first shot Tom-Tom tosses her blue jacket, then the second girl lays her red jacket and the third girl starts to put her pink jacket into Jenna's arms. Yet, at the start of the next shot facing Jenna, she holds only the blue jacket, since the red jacket is gone, the pink jacket is placed in Jenna's arms on top of the blue jacket and then the red jacket is thrown into her arms from off camera, before the rest of the girls dump their jackets into her arms. Then in Jenna's close-up, the jackets are positioned very differently in her arms. See more...

Comments made in brackets are corrections from other visitors. As such, any aggressive/abusive corrections (and I get quite a few) written as if they're comments I've made myself will be ignored. To submit your own corrections for mistakes, just click the edit icon under an entry, then choose "correct entry". Some entries have "duplicated entry" after them - these are entries which were already listed on the main page, but were submitted again. I occasionally leave these online for a while, just in case they were moved in error, so don't worry about pointing them out to me.

Entry When Matt walks into Jenna's office and Lucy is there, he says "Jenna", even though Lucy's blonde hair is visible from his point of view and she doesn't appear to be Jenna. [He says "Jenna" as he walks in. Though Lucy's hair is visible, he wouldn't expect her to be in Jenna's chair, in Jenna's office, so he said Jenna's name without even thinking.]
Entry At the end of the film Jenna asks Matt if he signed the release form for the photos they took for her redesign. He replies that he has not trusted Lucy since they were kids, implying that he didn't sign it. There is no explanation as to why the pictures are on the buses etc. [She used them with out his permission.]
Entry Jenna's blindfold in the closet at age 13 is the same material as the fabric of her sleep mask when she wakes up at 30. [Of course it's going to be the same!]
Entry When Jenna is in her apartment as 30 for the first time, the boyfriend comes out of the bathroom wearing a towel. She doesn't see him enter the kitchen still wearing the towel. When Jenna puts her head down below her knees, the boyfriend comes out of the the kitchen, wearing only a "jock strap". When he comes out of the bathroom looking for conditioner, he is again wearing a towel, but apparently nothing beneath it (the infamous "thingy" scene). [He could have taken it off after he went into the bathroom.]
Entry In the scene where Jenna wakes up and she is 30, watch when she flicks through her mail. You can see a Letter from Sparkle Magazine. This is significant later in the film when Jenna finds out she was the one giving ideas to Sparkle. [This isn't trivia, it is a plot line in the movie.]
Entry Wouldn't Matt be the least bit suspicious that Lucy, of all people, is in Jenna's office, looking through her stuff? I mean, Matt's not the brightest guy but he should be suspicious. [They work at the same company and are partners, so there's no reason why he would suspect anything.]
Entry When Jenna first turns 30, she starts looking through mail on the coffee table in her living room. All of the letters are addressed to "Jenna Rink. 61 5th Ave", but in the scene where Matt first leaves Jenna's apartment and he looks back at the closed door, it says 71, instead of 61. [The number on the door is "7C", not "71". It is the same as on the envelopes. "61" refers to the number of the whole building, which is not visible.]
Entry When 30-year-old Jenna is getting ready to go to her first adult party on Wall Street, she's putting on her makeup rather heavily - what a 13-year-old would probably do. Bright pink lipstick, heavy blue eyeshadow, fake eyelashes, etc. Then she gets up and goes into her big walk-in closet. As she's looking through all her shoes and dresses, her makeup is much more subtle, most notably her eye shadow. It's not as blue and heavy. [When Jenna is applying her makeup heavily, she is still at her desk with curlers in her hair. When she enters the closet though, the curlers are out of her hair. There is obviously quite a big time-gap between these two shots, giving Jenna plently of time to change her mind about her makeup, and to reapply it.]
Entry When Jenna is getting dressed for the party, she picks up a very sexy frilly thong that is obviously way too big for her. [Firstly, as Jenna picks up the thong, she stretches it outwards, making it appear bigger than it normally would. Secondly, the thong isn't that big, and how do you know it's too big for her? ]
Entry When 30 year old Jenna is hesitating to get into the car for the first time with her best friend, the "Don't Walk" sign changes to "Walk" then back to a non-flashing "Don't Walk" within a matter of 4 seconds, which is way too fast. [A traffic light by my house goes from "walk" to a flashing "don't walk" within 7 seconds. It is possible for a traffic light to change rather quickly.]
Entry When Matt leaves Jenna's apartment, he pushes the elevator button which doesn't light up. Later that same evening, Jenna leaves, pushes the elevator button and it does light up. [The light could have been broken that morning and repaired by the evening.]
Entry When Jenna goes to Matt's apartment to meet him for their planned "celebration dinner," Matt's fiance, Wendy, opens the door and appears surprised to see her. Every other time Jenna went to Matt's place, he had to buzz her in even though she always lied about who she was. Wouldn't Wendy have had to buzz Jenna in also? [The first time Jenna goes to Matt's, the intercom system doesn't seem to be working. It's possible that Wendy buzzed in Jenna without knowing it was her, since the speaker didn't work.]
Entry If you look closely in the beginning of the movie, there are seven "Six Chicks." [There are not seven "six chicks" anywhere in the movie. There are six in the opening scene, five and "Tom-tom" the leader. At Jenna's birthday party six of them walk through the door and six are in the basement during the party. Even later in the movie when Jenna is thirty and looking through her old yearbook there are SIX of them.]
Entry If Matt says Jenna threw the dream house at him on her 13th birthday, shouldn't it be cracked or broken when he gives back to her on his wedding day? [He had 17 years to repair it. Not that hard really.]
Entry When Jenna and her friend are talking about her friend having a nose job, her friend mentions that Jenna's nose job was better. At the end of the film when the future has changed, her nose looks the same as it did throughout the rest of the movie. If she had had a nose job in the original future (when she cared more about her popularity), her nose ought to look different at the end of the film. [What Lucy says is "Yours is still better", meaning that Jenna's nose has always naturally been better than hers and still is, even after her nose job. She never says that Jenna had a nose job.]
Entry When Jenna first leaves the apartment after finding out she's 30, she grabs a sort of sparkly, silvery bag. Then at the first Poise meeting, Jenna is sitting down and her bag is sort of tan - obviously a different bag. She wouldn't have had time to run to her office for a different bag, because Richard takes Jenna and Lucy to the meeting immediately after they arrive. The bags continue to switch on and off throughout the first part of the movie, up until Matt leaves Jenna's apartment before the party. [It's difficult to tell without checking each scene frame by frame, but the bag on the table at the meeting is actually the same bag that she has had since she left the house. It looks different depending on the lighting in each scene.]
Entry In the scene in the office when Sparkle "scooped" Poise again, Richard tears off the cover of the current month's Sparkle and slaps it on the wall crookedly, shoving a pin in. In the next shot, the magazine cover is perfectly straight and parallel to the cover of Poise next to it. [Richard does slap the cover on the wall crookedly but he straightens the cover with his hand before pinning it onto the wall.]
Entry When Jenna goes to find Matt at his parent's house (for his wedding), she takes a plant to shield her face from parent's eyes. She goes up the stairs. Yet when she is seen in the next shot walking up the stairs, the plant is gone. [When Jenna is going up the stairs she hands the flowers to another person (on his way down).]
Entry In the beginning of the movie when they are taking school pics, Jenna has some sort of braces on her teeth. Later, when she is talking to the six-chicks, they are gone. [In the school pictures, Jenna is wearing a retainer, which is not a permanent device, so it is entirely possible that she would not have it in at a later time.]
Entry At the start of the movie, pictures are being taken. When the camera pans out for a wide view there is a sign that says "(some teachers) homeroom" the only problem is, the photographer is not taking class pictures, they are taking single portraits. [It's possible what they mean by "(some teachers) homeroom" is that it's the teacher's homeroom class who's taking the single portraits. Sometimes they group them in that way to keep the picture-taking organized.]
