When Conan cuts off Thulsa Doom's head, and throws it over the parapet, it hits the stairs below and rolls a little way down. Not only are there absolutely no marks left on the stairs (there should at least be a small amount of blood), it sounds like something plastic is rolling down there. [First, most of the blood would have drained immediately, well before the head was thrown. Second, unless you have first-hand knowledge of what a severed head sounds like rolling down stone steps, you can't say the sound is incorrect.]
The king tells Conan that his daughter is on her way East to the Mountain of Power. When Conan breaks bread with the wizard, by the Western shores of the sea, the sun sets over the water, which would be to the east. [If they are on the western shores, and the sun is setting in the west, over water, this is correct.]
In the opening scene where the sword is pulled from the hot coals, the sword is blunt with no detail. The next shot shows the red hot sword being raised into the air, and now it's suddenly sharp with lots of hand carved detail on the blade. [It's a montage. It would take three or four months to make a sword like that, and that's a bit long in terms of film screening time.]
Just before Conan, Valeria and Tsubutai climb the Serpent Tower Valeria tells Conan to go first but in the next shot it's obvious that Conan is in fact third behind Tsubutai and Valeria. [Just because Conan decided he didn't want to go first does not make it a mistake.]
At the end of the film, Conan hurls a firepot at Thulsa Doom's temple. Some moments later, we see the whole temple ablaze. Firstly, how did the fire spread so fast? And secondly, the temple was a STONE one. Unlikely that stone can catch fire and burn so quickly.... [A close look at the building will show that there's quite a bit of wooden structure holding up the stone. That's what's burning (albeit with the help of some sort of accelerant to get it started). As a sidebar, it actually went up in flames before they were ready which is why they had to use the take of Arnie throwing the lamp off to the side.]
When Conan falls into the small temple-like place after being chased by dogs, he finds an old, dirty, rusted sword. After banging it against a rock a few times, it's suddenly a shiny sharp good-as-new-one. [It wasn't rusty, it was encased in stone. Banging it against the rock smashed the stone, freeing the preserved blade.]
How did Subotai know where to find Conan? Conan had been hanging on the tree of woe for days, dying from exposure and dehydration. So how on earth did Subotai know where to find him? It doesn't make sense. [Conan is certainly not the first to be killed on the Tree of Woe, since it already has that ominous name. We can assume that Subotai began investigating and asking questions about what happened to his friend, and ultimately someone pointed him in the right direction.]
During the battle at the ruins, Subotai runs out of arrows and is fleeing from two horsemen. Suddenly he turns, raises his bow in a firing position, and one of the pursuers falls dead. What happened? He didn't fire an arrow - he had none left. [The pursuer didnt fall dead, he thought that tsubotai had an arrow in the bow, so he was trying to avoid the arrow, reeled backward and fell off his horse.]
