In the scene where Jameson is flipping the pictures of Peter's first batch of photographs, you can see (in slow motion or if you have really good vision) that the 3rd picture he looks at changes when he puts it down into an entirely new photograph. The one he's looking at is Spider-Man on the side of a building, but when it's on the desk it's Spider-Man kicking a thug in the face. What does Jameson mean when he says that he wants a quarter every time someone says the name "Green Goblin"? Is it just a joke? [Well, sort of. What he means is that, as he came up with the name "Green Goblin", he should be allowed to trademark it and have people pay him for using it.]

Wasn't it suspicious that right after a wrestler in red and blue tights appears in a wrestling match with the name 'Spider-Man', that a superhero in red and blue tights appears in new york with the name 'Spider-Man'? [The guy who was wrestling decided to go into superheroing. Not suspicious at all. Peter never signed a contract or told anyone his name, so the 3 or 4 people who saw him without a mask would just remember "some kid."]

When Aunt May says to Peter in the hospital, "Everyone else knows", why does Peter suddenly look scared/concerned? [Remember that Green Goblin (Norman Osborne) just found out that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. Aunt May's comment about everyone knows he loves Mary-Jane concerns him because he now realizes that Green Goblin might find/kidnap Mary-Jane just to lure Spider-Man into a fight. This is the basis for the whole reason he can't be with her, as he would be potentially putting her in harm's way all the time if they got together.]

If Norman Osborn owns Oscorp, why is it that the board members decide that the company is going to be sold? Shouldn't it be Norman's decision? [No, that doesn't always follow. Osborn founded Oscorp, but that doesn't mean that he has sole control over the company. Presumably at some point in the past he's had to bring in outside investors, who have taken up seats on the board and have a degree of control over the company. If the directors, working together, possess a greater share of the company than Osborn himself does, then they can overrule him completely.]

In the scene after Peter has been exploring his powers for the first time and is back home late, why is the note his Aunt and Uncle left him addressed to 'Michelangelo'? [It is a reference to earlier, when Uncle Ben reminds Peter about his promise to help paint the kitchen he calls him Michelangelo - as in the famous painter. So when Peter returns home late he had broken his promise, and the "Michelangelo" in the note is meant to remind him of it.]

Was it really Tobey's body both times in the mirror? [Yes, he worked out a lot to get into that condition. On the DVD commentary, Raimi states that one of the first scenes shot was where Tobey takes off his shirt and is not in great shape while one of the last ones shot was the one in the mirror you are referring to.]

In Spider-Man 2, Scott Spiegel makes an appearance as a man trying to steal a piece of pizza. Does anyone know what role he has in this movie? [He's the policeman that tells Peter 'we've got the place surrounded' when Uncle Ben's murderer falls to his death.]
I heard the Strokes were on the soundtrack with a song called When It Started. Does anyone know which scene this is in? [Some of the songs on the soundtrack were not in the movie. The soundtrack is made up of songs "from and INSPIRED by".]
How did webs come out of his wrist at the beginning in the cafeteria if he didn't do the gesture? [The gesture isn't to create the web, it's to actually shoot them. As such, if another method of drawing them forth is available, the gesture isn't needed. The fork's managed to get stuck to the exit point for his webs - we see what appears to be a small patch of a weblike substance, so presumably it's slightly sticky. Peter then pulls the fork, and in doing so is pulling the webs out from the spinnerets - so no need for the gesture in this case. When he then webs the tray on the next table, if you look closely, he's doing the correct gesture.]

Is it ever mentioned of what happened to Peter's parents and why he lives with his aunt and uncle? I've never read the comic books. [They died when he was young and moved in with Uncle Ben and Aunt May. He was lead to believe they died in a car accident but in fact they were spies who were believed to be traitors to the Russians (This was back in Cold War days), but Peter (as Spidey) cleared their name.]

Does Peter know that Norman is the Goblin before he takes his helmet off near the end of the movie? [It doesn't appear so, no. While he knows that Norman has been acting a little weirdly, it's a big leap from there to suspecting that Norman is the Goblin.]

What was Tobey Maguire's full process to get Spider-man's body? What was his body and fighting training and food diets? Is there any website where they have it in full writing? [The following is taken directly from People Magazine May 27, 2002: WORKOUT: Maguire exercised for at least 3.5 hours, six days a week, with his regimen varying "depending on how sore he felt," says Joujon-Roche. Mornings were spent improving his flexibility with yoga and splits, along with building strength through abdominal and lower-body exercises on an oversize ball. "We would just work on each body part until we killed it," Joujon-Roche says. "Then the next day we'd go to another and kill that one." Afternoons were devoted to cardiovascular activities like martial arts and cycling, to burn fat, plus gymnastics. "Tobey did his own flips with that Spider-Man hood on," says Joujon-Roche. "We gave him self-assuredness." DIET: For breakfast Joujon-Roche made the actor, a vegetarian, a "high-protein shake that included nuts, essential oils and vitamins." Lunch, he says, was often "marinated tofu with broccoli and walnuts and dinner a big veggie burger with brown rice." The menu varied with Maguire's output. "If his workout was pure weights," says Joujon-Roche, "he needed protein. If he did cardio, he'd have a shake of all carbs."]

In the warehouse scene, we see Spidey hanging up-side down on a web. Then he sort of pulls it back into his wrist. How does he do that? [Because it grows out of his wrist, he has the control to contract it back in if he wants. Note that in the comics Spiderman actually made a sort of gluey string for his web, and in the film it's organic. This is a create decision on the part of Sam Raimi who said "I think it's more believeable that the web is organic rather than a kid making a glue 3M can't make."]
When they are having thanksgiving at Harry's and Peter's apartment, why does Norman get up and leave so quickly?What has come to his attention? [Seeing the cut on Peter's arm makes him realise that Peter is Spider-Man, as Spider-Man was injured in the same area earlier. He leaves either to stop himself losing control and/or to plan his next moves.]
