Entry The "magic pill" that Latrine offers the sheriff to save his life from the impalement is a Lifesaver candy (Polos in the UK).
Entry "Robin Hood: Men In Tights" references at least three other Mel Brooks movies. The hangman and the comment about a black sheriff at the end of the movie are both from "Blazing Saddles", the music to the song "Men In Tights" is the same music from "Jews In Space" in "History Of The World Part 1", and Prince John's moving mole and comment "I have a mole?" refer to Igor's hump in "Young Frankenstein".
Entry Robin's speech to the villagers is reminiscent of Winston Churchill's speech before commons on June 4th, 1940.
Entry When the Sheriff falls through Latrine's roof, Latrine says, "I was this close... I touched it." The last part was not in the script. Mel Brooks thought it was so funny, he left it in the movie.
