Comments made in brackets are corrections from other visitors. As such, any aggressive/abusive corrections (and I get quite a few) written as if they're comments I've made myself will be ignored. To submit your own corrections for mistakes, just click the edit icon under an entry, then choose "correct entry". Some entries have "duplicated entry" after them - these are entries which were already listed on the main page, but were submitted again. I occasionally leave these online for a while, just in case they were moved in error, so don't worry about pointing them out to me.
When Grady leaves the radio playing on the ground, a graboid eats it. The next day, when foolish Grady steps on the ground, he hears the radio playing in the graboid's mouth. Don't you think that from running non-stop for that period of time, the batteries would've died? [A radio doesn't use that much power. Not as much as a tape player or portable CD player. A battery operated radio should easily run 24hours non-stop, quite probably more.]
In the scene where the graboid is pulling the truck, Grady tries to shoot the graboid to make it release the chain. Wouldn't it have been easier to shoot the chain? [A thick chain is not easily shot with a rifle. The chain is round and is usually not hit straight on, so the bullet will most likely deflect off the chain and most of the impact will be absorbed by the chain being pushed away by the bullet.]
While the graboid is pulling the truck across country, look at the ground between the graboid and the truck and you will see tire tracks on the ground. [Why is this a mistake? Earl and Grady have been driving all over the valley all day and the oil company trucks have been there before then. There are tire tracks all over the place.]
In the scene where the monster is pulling the truck, the truck has a rifle on its gun rack. The rifle gets into the hands of Brady who is in the truck bed, then back into the gun rack a few scenes later while Brady is still in the bed. [It would make sense that they would each have a rifle, and that it's not one jumping around due to bad editing.]
