Many people don't realise that the actor who plays Riff Raff (Richard O'Brien) is actually the person who wrote the original stageplay of 'Rocky Horror'. He also wrote the sequel movie.
In the scene where Magenta and Columbia are in their "bedroom" (both are reclining on the long couch-like thing) you can see the Rocky Horror album cover on the lamp.
The reason Dr. Scott crashes through the wall of the lab is because the filmmakers forgot to add a door to the room, so he had to crash through the wall in order to get in.
