When they go to find Private Ryan there are eight of them, when they go to a French town and a solider picks up the little girl and he gets killed there are seven, right? Wrong. A few scenes later, the camera shows all eight of them marching on to the next town, only in a far away camera shot so it's hard to see.
Tom Hanks' character is on the yacht talking to his father. Tom is mixing up martinis, he pours them, and he adds an olive to one, and then an olive to the other. The camera cuts away to his father and then cuts back and now the second martini has no olive, so Tom adds an olive again.
When Robbie and Julia are making their friend the limo driver run through the obstacle course to prove his driving ability, you can clearly see both right-side hubcaps come off the car. Then, just a few seconds later, the hubcaps are back on the limo.
When the young Chinese girl is kidnapped, while in the car, her tie is on. When she tries to fight the guy her tie is off in one shot, then back on again a few seconds later.
In the ending shots, when Alejandro and Captain Love are fighting, when Captain Love falls down the hill, Alejandro grabs a shovel and slides down the hill. If you look at the shovel, you will see the strap that holds his feet to it.
When the brother and sister are arguing, it is supposedly 6:30. because that is when the marathon starts. But watch when he flips past the preview channel - it is showing shows for the 1 to 2:30 slot.
During the big car chase the Audi S8 rams the Citroen, pushing back the headlights on the Audi but on the subsequent scenes in the town the front of the Audi is intact.
6 years in a mask and he's able to keep that lovely babyface with just a little bit of grime, which easily comes off? Of course it would have wrecked the whole story but still...
When Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are getting ready to bring back Nicole Kidman's jerk boyfriend from the dead, they are going to put him on a counter that has towels and other stuff on it. The camera shows them picking him up and putting him on the counter, and when they do, the towels and stuff are all gone, without them clearing it off.
In the scene where Harrison Ford and Anne Heche come out of the cave they fell into, Anne has a scorpion on her head. If you look closely you will see that it is just a toy and much smaller than the real one we see in the next shot.
In the scene where Charlie and the snowman (his dad) are getting chased by the bullies, the sled gets split in half into two sled pieces. But you can clearly see, that in some parts of this scene, Charlie is riding a real snowboard, and some parts, he is riding the half piece of sled.
In most shots in the hotel room the houses you can see through the windows are quite far away, like across a wide street. Only in one shot, when Estella stands nude in front of the window, there is suddenly a window only a few meters away, through which one can see an Indian woman with her daughter, surprisingly unaware of the naked Estella.
When he has the accident after hitting the dog, there is a big very noticeable dent in his truck. After he leaves the camp place it is gone and never seen again.
During the bedroom scene, Annett Benning is stroking her lover's chin. Depending on the camera angle (pointing at her or pointing at him) her hands switch from left to right and back to the left.
Just before Helen gets hit by a car, it is pouring with rain, and she and James are soaked, although when she is about to cross the road, the rain has stopped and they are both suddenly dry.
During the end the murderer is thrown out the front window of the building. The students leave the building through the front door, but yet there is no body, and that doesn't seem to bother them!
Godzilla noticeably changes size throughout the movie. For example, he is shown lairing in a subway tunnel, but he cannot fit into the Hyde Park tunnel (taxicab scene), which is significantly larger than a subway tunnel. Also, compare the size of Godzilla's eye next to Matthew Broderick during the fish scene and Godzilla's death scene. The eye is way bigger in the latter.
During the car chase involving the car driven by the Chinese guy, Murtaugh, and the mobile home, the two cars slide against each other and the right wing mirror on Murtaugh's car is completely wrecked. Once the two cars are separated the wing mirror has miraculously repaired itself. The left wing mirror also does a disappearing / reappearing trick.
When the Commando Elite rip out through the clear plastic 'window' of their packaging, the sound made is that of paper ripping - a different sound to what the plastic being punctured would make.
On the widescreen version of the film, near the beginning, Sean Penn is talking to a young G.I. that's worried. They are in the latrine area on the ship. While they talk, look in the mirror to the left. This is the most visible camera-on-film shot to date.
During the scene where Ted and Dom are looking at Mary speaking with Warren and Tad from behind the tree, if you look carefully you can see the camera and crew in the reflection in Ted's glasses.
In the scene where Sabrina and Paul are sitting at a table in a cafe, when the camera is on Sabrina's face, behind her seems to be a perfectly dry and generally sunny day in Rome, but when the camera is on Paul, behind him shows people walking around with umbrellas and the ground is very wet.
When they are driving away in the white car they go on their side and drive around and then get flipped back up and there is no damage to the car whatsoever.
In the scene when the opposing team's players interrupt the party on the bayou and the knife is pulled, the patches on the sheriff's uniform say County Sheriff. Louisiana has parishes not counties.
