In the first scene, when Nicholson is driving to the Overlook, the shadow of a helicopter can be seen at the bottom right. This is only visible in the un-matted TV/video print.

The movie is supposed to have been filmed and taken place exclusively in Pasadena, TX, and MOST of it is. The trailer park that they live in, however, is NOT in Pasadena, or anywhere near there. There are several scenes where they show someone driving into the trailer park, and you can see mountains in the background. There aren't any mountains within hundreds of miles of Pasadena.
In the town in Texas when General Zod and his crew first visit, watch when the boy's father (elevated by Zod's finger) falls to the ground. You can see the pad under the dirt when he hits it.
In the scene where Loretta Lynn is at the radio station asking why the disc jockey had lied to them about playing her record, you see the picture of her that they took at home. It is a completely different pose than the one that you saw them take a couple of scenes earlier. She is looking in a different direction and she is not smiling as much as she was when they took it.
In scenes that take place in 1912 on the porch of the hotel you can sometimes see American flags in the background. The flags in the movie have 50 stars. The 50 star flag wasn't adopted until after 1959.
The first thing on screen after the opening credits is the year the film is set in, 1953. How then, do Kim Novak and Tony Curtis make their arrival in a Cadillac convertible, which is quite obviously of 1959 vintage?
In the scene where Jake is in the bedroom with his wife (where he pours ice water on himself to calm down) you can see the top of some crew member's head in the the foreground right below the camera lens.
When the nurse from Keto throws himself out of the window - you see the arm of the dummy fly off as it hits the floor. When it cuts to him lying on the floor - both his arms are intact.
When at the poolside of the Bonaventure Hotel, Adam looks at one of the express elevators ascending. Then he turns and runs for the elevators, followed by the blue team. Miraculously, both elevators are now at the bottom floor.
In the beginning, Claudette and the other counsellors are all singing. When they get closer you can see that Claudette is playing the guitar, then she stops, but the guitar playing and singing still continues.
When the German NCO begins to walk up the sand dune he has a stick grenade in his right boot. Next shot half way up the dune, the grenade has changed boots.
A film about the making of a film. A car is filmed going off a bridge, and the footage is played back repeatedly. Throughout, the car is referred to as a Duesenberg, even though, in nearly every shot, the Mercedes tri-sected circle logo is visible above the radiator.
Leaving aside the many inaccuracies which have come to light since the discovery of the wreck, there are many details about the Titanic that should have been known to the film-makers. Including that the words "Titanic" and "Liverpool" on the stern were painted on, and not done in raised lettering as shown in the film.
