1 Battle of the Bulge

None of the German tanks are accurate representations of German WWII types. They are all post war US variants.
2 The Sound of Music

In the scene in which Maria and the children are in a carriage singing Do-Re-Mi around Salzburg, at one point (when she is sitting facing the kids) she passes a shop that is painted in a very distinct color and with a distinct sign (it begins with an F: Frachts?), and a few seconds later, as she turns around to sit forward in the carriage, they pass the same store.
3 Help!

In the scene where the Beatles are in bed sleeping, and Ringo is getting pulled out of bed by the ring, he falls out of bed, and brings the blankets with him. In the next shot however, the bed clothes are back on his bed.

When James Bond is fighting underwater with an opponent, the opponent rips off James' diving mask (which is blue). Then James rips another mask off another opponent who is lying dead on the ocean floor. This dead opponent's mask is black. James puts on the black mask and then he turns around and the mask is blue again.
5 Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines

Terry-Thomas's plane gets stuck between the carriages of a Paris-bound train (in fact filmed on the single-line track between Bedford and Hitchin).  Just before the train plus plane goes into a tunnel you can see the cooling towers of Bedford's Goldington Power Station (circa 1960) behind TT's head.
6 The Heroes of Telemark

The daylight air-raid on the Norwegian Heavy Water plant in 1942 was done by Boeing B17G bombers, with the distinctive chin gun turrets. These planes did not come into service until 1944, when they were introduced to counter the head-on attacks by German fighters.
7 The Great Race

In the scene where Leslie is fighting the soldiers, one soldier hits a second soldier with his rifle. The rifle can be seen to bend around the soldier's body and then straighten again.
8 In Harm's Way

John Wayne suffers a broken arm and goes for a x-ray wearing a cast. At the bottom of the cast a slit is visible which allows the fake cast to be easily removed.
9 Shenandoah

In the middle part of the film, as they look out across the field you can see the shadow of a aeroplane cross the field.
10 The Sons of Katie Elder

In the gunfight in Hasting's store, John Elder fires his six-shooting Colt to a total of thirteen or fourteen times, without requiring - or doing any - reloading whatsoever.
11 The Tenth Victim

In the scene where Ursula Andress confronts Marcello Mastroianni, he reaches into an ice bucket where you see a very small pistol (PPK). When he points it at her, it changes into (I think) a Colt 45. It then, in another angle changes again into (I think) a Mauser Parabellum... Mistakes can be made if filming covers many days on the same scene, but when the dialogue mentions how he can hide a tiny pistol in the ice bucket.....
12 What's New Pussycat

In the scene when Carole catches Ms. Lefavre in Michael's apartment, she (Ms. Lefavre) tries to cover by pretending to be Michael's maid. As she moves about, cleaning various items, she talks about all the work she has to do, etc., etc. However, throughout this entire sequence her mouth never moves or so much as opens.
13 The Flight of the Phoenix (1965)

Before the damaged plane is dismantled, in some shots the three propeller blades of the port side engine are a mixture of clockwise and anticlockwise type. (The twist along the length of the blade goes the opposite direction depending on the type).
14 Monster a-Go Go

The crashed US spacecraft from which the monster emerges is obviously much too small to have carried a human being into space.
15 Doctor Zhivago

The city railroad scenes were filmed in Spain, and many of the forest railroad scenes were filmed in Finland; in both of those countries, most of the railroad track is broad gauge (the rails are more than 5 feet apart). The plains and mountains railroad scenes were largely shot in Canada, where the rails are "standard gauge": 4' 8 & 1/2" apart. The rails can be seen to jump between far apart and closer together more than once as the movie progresses.
16 The Ipcress File

Harry Palmer uses the leather wrist restraints to lacerate his wrists - the pain enables him to resist being involuntarily hypnotised. The next time he is woken roughly by the guards for another hypnosis session, his wrists are unmarked.
17 Village of the Giants

When one of the kids break into the laboratory, everyone else is partying in the garden. In the outside shots, it is dark, but in all the shots from inside the lab you can see through the windows that it is daylight outside.
18 For a Few Dollars More

At the beginning of the film, you see Colonel Mortimer traveling on a train while reading a bible. He has a Indian squaw and a gentleman wearing glasses and a derby sitting across from him. A conductor comes by to pick up their tickets. Colonel Mortimer asks the conductor, "is it far to Tucamcari?" The conductor replies, "we pass there in three to four minutes." The gentleman with glasses starts to tell the Colonel that he is on the wrong train. As he tells him this, look out the train window and see a car driving off into the distance.
19 The Greatest Story Ever Told

When John baptizes Jesus, Jesus' hair is dripping water onto his shoulders as seen from the front. As seen from the back, there's no dripping at all.
20 Carry On Cowboy

When Annie Oakley is singing her song her lips aren't moving to the words. The best time to see this is when the song plays "Love......." and even though her lips have stopped moving the song words are still going.
21 None But the Brave

In the last scene, Tommy Sand's character is holding an army carbine on which the barrel is noticeably bent downward.
22 Inside Daisy Clover

In the beginning of the film when Natalie Wood first gets in the limo, she is waving goodbye to her mother who is on the pavement. As the limo is driving away and Wood is leaning out the window waving, there is a lamp post behind her that is so close it looks like it might hit her. When the camera moves back to her mother you cannot see the lamp post.
23 The Eye Creatures
votemap vote up vote down
In the film the Eye Creatures have landed their spaceship in a field during the night and the Army has been called in to survey the spaceship. A soldier gets on top of the space ship and starts using a welding unit to try and open it and it's bright and clear out. The temperature of the welding ignites a fuse on the spaceship which causes the ship to explode. When the scene shows the spaceship blowing up it's now pitch black outside.
